About Me
I am a first year graduate student at the University of Iowa in the Library and Information Sciences program. I am one of the digital fellows in the second cohort and am really excited to get started on my first project at WiderNet. I also work in the Main Library Special Collections, at the Reference and Information Desk, and at ACT as an editor.
I was born in Des Moines, Iowa and have moved around a lot. In total, I’ve moved 16 times between Des Moines, Iowa City, Chicago, and New York; and I call them all as home.
I have a lot of friends spread out all over the US and world from moving around so much. In order to get a chance to see everyone, I travel a lot. This year I will take three major vacations and I’m working on adding another trip back east. It’s a fun way to keep up with all my friends and get a chance to see the world. I consider myself quite a master traveler and know how to make it economical.
My hope someday is to be able to use my MA to help ensure that people have access to the information they need. In particularly, those who normally wouldn’t have access. I’m still really new at this, but I’m finding myself drawn to trying to find solutions for underserved populations.
