so today I received my WiderNet email account, very exciting:-)  So far, no messages, but I’m sure it will fill up quick!

week one of digital fellowship

This is my first post for the digital libraries fellowship weblog.  This semester, fall 2008, I’m going to be working at the WiderNet eGranary project.  The project is an excellent way to see how we can get information to those who would not typically have it.  The eGranary is a large hard drive that stores information and works basically like the Internet for the user.  For this project Cliff Missen will be my mentor.  He is leaving to go out of town tomorrow until next week, so I will probably get more information on what exactly I will be doing then.  For now, I am looking over their sharepoint website and reading about sql.
